IMPORTANCE OF TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT- WORKING ON YOUR OWN

Technique is the basis of everything. Without technique there are no tactics.

The back yard is a great place to practice a lot of the skills on your own and improve your individual technical development. Each player can practice individual skills and techniques that they learn during regular trainings and also that they can use in the next game.

Individual skills to practice on your own: Phase 1

* Basic ball control
* Manipulating the ball with both feet
* Manipulating the ball in the air with any part of your body
* Running with the ball and change directions constantly
* Perform different turns
* Do dynamic, creative and unpredictable moves with the ball
* Do feints to beat your opponent from the front
* Do cutting moves to get out of difficult situations

Liberty FC will put together a video with some various international style soccer moves from across the world as examples for our kids to work on their own. Will be different self activity exercises where the players train themselves at home on their own without coach or parents present.
