Club Philospophy :

Our mission is to develop our Club Members and help them to maximize their potential not only as players, but young people as future role models. They will learn the importance of DESIRE , DEDICATION and DISCIPLINE , as they have FUN learning to play “The Beautiful Game”.

Preparing for Soccer Tryouts

Tryout for spring season is around the corner . Here is some advice from our coaching staff.

Our goals is to develop players to maximize their potential on and off the field.

1. Give your best.

Always put your best effort into every tryout.

2. See Where Your Style Fits.

Remember, you are not going to dramatically change your skill set overnight, so go play and see if the way you play fits in.

3. Look for Development.

If I could tell parents one thing it would be to go to the coach who is more concerned with developing players than winning. Youth soccer is very competitive. Club coaches have to win games or they lose their jobs or lose their players. This is not the case in our club.

It is important to select a club who genuinely cares about developing their play – and parents need to be less concerned about winning U12 tournaments.

4. Prepare Mentally.

Get a better idea about the club or organization, the team, the players and the coaches. When you are on the field, think about the position(s) you play and the things you like to do when playing soccer.

5. Prepare Technically and Physically.

Soccer is a skilled game which requires players to have a good fitness base. Set up a training plan that requires you to do extra skill work leading up to the tryout.

Next, do skill work with the ball: passing, shooting, dribbling, and, most importantly, receiving of the ball as you have time for. This is a great time to pull from some of those images you stored in your mind from your research.

6. Prepare on Tryout Day.

This is game day, so to speak, and the main thing to do throughout the tryout is to keep reminding yourself that the tryout is going to be fun because you know that you will do your best.

Get to the field early, at least 25 minutes in advance. Once you arrive at the field, get ready early and begin to warm up (with the ball) on your own. Be yourself and play to win! You are now ready to give your best to become your best.

7. Be Yourself.

Don’t try to be a Messi or Abby Wambach at your tryout. Just be the best “you” can be.

8. Play Simple.

Most players try to do too much at a tryout. Coaches look for those players who play the ball simple and do it well.

9. Use Your Skills.

Coaches love to see skill and love players that are not afraid to use those skills they have developed.

10. Stay Involved.

Just because you don’t know anyone at tryouts doesn’t mean you can’t stay involved. Say “hello” to all the other players before you start and get comfortable as soon as you can.

11. Leave an impression.

Work hard to be special in whatever way possible. Play as if the coaches have no other choice but to pick you. At the end, shake each coach’s hand, tell them your name and thank them for the opportunity to try out. Cool down on your own, even if nobody else is, then put your sweats and jogging shoes back on and go home.

12. Have Fun.

Enjoy the experience. This is not National Team tryouts. Enjoy the new players and coaches. Have a smile on your face and truly love the game of soccer. After all, why else are you there?

Coaching Staff :
We believe the coaches are the backbone of our program. The coaching staff is lead by Tavi Muresan, Director of Coaching and Player Development with following achivements:
* Former professional player
* High coaching license on US: USSF “A”, USSF “Y” and NSCAA Director Of Coaching
* Olympic Developmental Program: Regional and State Coaching staff
* USSF Development Academy Coaching staff
* OYSAN Coaching School Instructor

All LIBERTY FC coaches held USSF or NSCAA coaching license. We belive that higher level coaches help to develop higher level players.

In our coaching staff we introduce a YOGA instructor with over 20 experiences to help our players to maximize their body and mind abilities.

Training Environment :
Competitive soccer is for those players who desire more qualified coaching, a good level of competition and an atmosphere that allows them to reach their potential and achieve their individual goals in the game. Players who want to play in our environment need to be prepared to make a significant commitment to soccer training and competition. Training for players that are selected for this program should typically be geared toward preparation for participation in USSF Development Academy system , high school and college soccer.

Each team will train at least two times per week and possibly more in the Spring and Fall and one training per week during Winter.

U13 and above: Playing time in games will be based on the effort, dedication, attitude and skills shown at training. No guranted playing time.
U12 and below: Playing time in games will be based on player commitment at training and we guaranted to play LEAST 50% of each game with player rotations in different positions on the field.

Playing Environment:
Practices will be on a competitive environment level that prepares players for competition. Games will be viewed as a test to measure the effectiveness of training, identify and compare play levels, to assist in setting goals and to identify talent progression.
